Working copy Should you ever need to reinstall Sculptor, you will need to have a Working copy of the software. This section describes how to create a floppy disk version of the installation.
When you first downloaded the Sculptor software from the Internet, you were asked to create a directory, "sculp02" was suggested and copy the Sculptor installation file into this directory. The installation would have extracted two files into this directory setup.exe and setup.w02, these two files will make up the Working copy of the software. Before you can create a working copy, you will need: - 2 blank 1.44MB formatted floppy diskettes.
-
2 floppy disk labels.
Add the following text to the 2 labels.
LABEL FOR DISK 1 To install: (Sculptor) To copy the Sculptor software to your computer, run setup.exe" from Disk 1 and then insert Disk 2 when prompted. Disk 1 of 1
LABEL FOR DISK 2 To install: (Sculptor) Insert Disk 2 when prompted. Disk 1 of 2
Using File Manager or Explorer (Win 95) Copy setup.exe onto Disk 1 (drive A or B) Copy setup.w02 onto Disk 2 (drive A or B) * See beginning of section for information about the location of these files. You now have a working copy of the software. Backup Copy Before you use Sculptor, it is recommended that you make a back-up copy of the original software and use this copy for
installation. Software programs are susceptible to damage or loss, therefore it is unwise to use the original program for regular use. If you should ever lose or damage the working copy you can always use the original program copy to make another working copy. Remember to store the original in a safe place.
